This page outlines the Terms of Use (“Terms”) under which You (as defined below) are permitted to use CV2U.com, an online service to post curriculum vitae (CV) documents for review by potential employers. CV2U.com also allows Users to create individual profiles (“Profiles”), which may include personal/biographical information, and to make these profiles available to people you chose.
Please carefully read the Terms outlined below. If You do not accept the Terms stated her, do not use CV2U.com nor its services. By using CV2U.com, You agree to be bound by these Terms, including the CV2U.com Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility.
You must be 18 years of age or older, or the age of majority as that is defined your jurisdiction, whichever is older, to visit or use CV2U.com and its services. By visiting CV2U.com or accepting these Terms, You represent and warrant to CV2U.com that You have reached the age of majority as defined in your jurisdiction, and that you have the right, authority and capacity to agree to abide by these Terms. You also testify that You will use CV2U.com and its services in a manner that is consistent with any and all applicable laws and regulations.
2. CV2U.com Site Restrictions.
Users may not use CV2U.com to transmit material (a) that in violation of any applicable law or regulation, (b) in a manner that infringes on any intellectual property right or violates the privacy or other personal rights of others, or (c) that is obscene, defamatory or abusive.
Users are further prohibited from violating, and attempting to violate, the security of the CV2U.com website, including but not limited to: (a) attempting to interfere with the service to any User, host or network; (b) accessing data not intended for such User or signing into an account that the User is not authorized to access; (c) attempting to exploit CV2U.com services by, including, without limitation, introducing a virus to the CV2U.com site, or by "flooding," "spamming," "fishing," "crashing," "mailbombing," or overloading. Violations of CV2U.com security may result in civil and/or criminal liability.
3. Use of CV2U Content.
All CV2U content, including text, graphics, buttons and icons (collectively "CV2U Content"), is property of CV2U.com. CV2U Content is protected under both U.S. and foreign copyright, trademark and other laws. Unauthorized use of CV2U content may violate these laws and is expressly prohibited. You agree not to sell or modify the CV2U Content. You also agree not to reproduce, display or distribute CV2U Content in any way for any public or commercial purpose without express consent from CV2U.com.
4. Registration Information.
When you sign up for a CV2U.com account, You will be prompted to create a CV2U Account by providing certain information including, without limitation, a valid email address (your "Information"). Information you submit will be used in accordance with CV2U's Privacy Policy.
You understand and acknowledge that you have no ownership rights over your CV2U Account. If you cancel your CV2U Account, all of the information contained therein, including resumes, CVs, profile information, cover letters and other information, will be marked as deleted in CV2U's database, and will subsequently be removed from all public areas of the CV2U site. Account information may continue to be available for some period of time because of delays in processing and propagating such deletion through CV2U web servers.
5. Registration and Password Confidentiality.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your User Account. You may not share your password or other account information with any other party, neither temporarily nor permanently. You agree to provide immediate notification to CV2U.com of any unauthorized use of your User Account.
6. User Content.
CV2U operates as a passive conduit for the online distribution and publication of User Content and has no obligation to screen or otherwise edit User Content. Nor is CV2U responsible for monitoring content by Users. CV2U does, however, reserve the express right to review and remove any User Content that violates these Terms, violates applicable rules or regulations, or violates the rights of other Users. Further, CV2U reserves the right to expel Users and prevent them from accessing the CV2U site in the future for violating the Terms and/or applicable rules or regulations.
CV2U does not guarantee the veracity, accuracy or reliability of User Content. You acknowledge that any reliance on material posted by other users will be undertaken at your own risk.
7. Disclaimer of Consequential Damages.
In no event shall CV2U be liable for any damages whatsoever resulting from the use, or inability to use, the CV2U Site and content. This disclaimer extends to damages including, without limitation, incidental and consequential damages, lost revenue, or damages resulting from lost data.
8. Disclaimer of Warranty.
In no way does CV2U warrant that the CV2U site will operate error free. Nor does CV2U guarantee that the CV2U site and its servers are free of computer viruses or other harmful packets of computer code. If your use of the CV2U site results in the need for servicing or replacing of your equipment or data, CV2U is NOT responsible for those costs. You agree that CV2U services are provided without any warranties of any kind, and you surrender any and all claims to compensation for Consequential Damages resulting from the use of the CV2U site.
9. Indemnity.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CV2U.com, from and against any claims, actions, or demands, including reasonable legal and accounting fees, resulting from (a) any User Content or any other content You submit to the CV2U site; (b) your use of CV2U Content; or (c) your breach of these Terms of Use.
